About Us

At NORWEH, we believe in protecting what truly matters—quality time with the people you love. Born from the rich traditions of Scandinavian craftsmanship and built with the strength of premium materials, our structures are more than just pergolas and pavilions—they are lasting symbols of connection, resilience, and legacy.

Our Story Begins in Norway

In 2014, Frank Ditlefsen, originally from Norway, began building outdoor structures with his five sons in rural Canada. What started as a family business quickly became a mission: to create spaces that bring people together. After the heartbreaking loss of Frank’s wife, Deborah, in 2019, and their son Calvin in 2024, the family gained a deeper understanding—time is precious, and every moment with loved ones is a gift.

Inspired by Legacy

Just as the wooden churches of Norway have stood for over a thousand years, our structures are designed to stand the test of time. Every NORWEH product is crafted with intention—a blend of timeless design, durable craftsmanship, and enduring beauty. These aren’t just outdoor structures—they’re forever havens for family dinners, quiet mornings, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

Wood That Remembers

Wood is alive. Its grains absorb the scents of summer, the warmth of fireside conversations, and the echo of children’s laughter. Over time, it transforms, carrying with it the invisible imprints of the life lived around it. We build with wood because it remembers—and because it lasts.

Simplicity Meets Strength

Our Scandinavian roots have shaped our approach: elegant, minimalist design that’s both practical and beautiful. We’ve engineered our pavilions and pergolas for easy assembly—so whether you’re a weekend DIYer or working with a local handyman, bringing your NORWEH structure to life is seamless and satisfying.
